October 8-10, 2010...

The Your Scrapping Café Crop For The Cure team wanted to send out a special thanks to everyone who helped us with our first Crop for the Cure to benefit Susan G. Komen. We hope that you were inspired, got some projects done, but most of all we hope you all had a great time.

From participant fees, raffle ticket sales, etc. we were able to raise over $1,400 for the Susan G. Komen Greater Cincinnati Affiliate!!!!!!! Our two largest raffle prizes were a Personal Cricut (valued at $180 retail) and a Gift Certificate for accommodations for one at the Retreat To Complete cropping cabin on Lake Cumberland ($100 value).  We also had two scrapbooking gift baskets (valued at over $50 each), a gift certificate for Marco's Paper Garden Club (valued at $50) and gift certificates from a variety of local restaurants (varying $ amounts).

We also assembled 20 "Survivor" starter albums which are being donated to the local Breast Cancer Support Group through the Kettering Health Network.  Thanks to all who supported the event.  We could not have done this without the generous donations we received from all of you! You all helped make a difference. This is truly AMAZING and you should all be very proud of the support you provided!!

For the 2010 event:

Sponsor Donations totaled: $1,100+ in supplies/raffle items/door prizes/gift items

We are pleased to announce that 77.5% of the cropping fee paid by participants and 100% of all raffle ticket sales is being donated to the Susan G. Komen Greater Cincinnati Affiliate.

based off of ALL registrations we had:

1 Breast Cancer survivors attending the crop

14 of you knew someone who was battling Breast Cancer

20 of you knew someone who had survived and won the battle against Breast Cancer

16 of you knew someone who passed away from Breast Cancer

Let this be a reminder that all of our efforts and donations helped these wonderful women in addition to countless others here in Dayton and nationwide. We hope that each year we can grow this into a larger and better event. Again, we thank you all from the bottom of our hearts. You all have made a difference.

Sincerely,

The Your Scrapping Café Crop For The Cure Team
