So, it\u2019s been a minute since I last posted anything on the old Caf\u00e9 website. If you\u2019re already acquainted with the Caf\u00e9 then you know I had to close my brick & mortar location back in 2016. There\u2019s more detail about that on the \u201cAbout Me<\/strong><\/a>\u201d page. I had all these plans to continue the Caf\u00e9 in some capacity, albeit virtually rather than physically. But life happened. In 2017, the company for which I\u2019d worked for more than 25 years was spiraling down the drain and I was also dealing with the physical ramifications of Rheumatoid Arthritis. And we won\u2019t even go into COVID. Needless to say, the last 8+ years have not gone to plan. I\u2019m now retired and a \u201cprofessional\u201d grandma to 5 lovely grandchildren who are the absolute light of my life. And, I\u2019m back, ready to go and excited to get this new version of the Caf\u00e9 going.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over the years I\u2019ve found a few designers that I consider a \u201cgo to\u201d resource for digital supplies. One of those is Bryony from Heartstrings Scrap Art (HSA)<\/strong><\/a>. I wanted to take this opportunity to thank her for allowing me to use some of her products (specifically from her Nature Journal Collection<\/strong><\/a>) while creating the header for the Caf\u00e9 Blog. I have grown to love working on scrapbook \u201cchallenges\u201d offered at some of the shops I frequent. I have learned a lot by doing this and I get to see so many other people\u2019s works. I would encourage you to participate in challenges\u2026even if you\u2019re a beginner. They typically are a great way to learn new things. Along with that I currently am a member of the Creative Team (CT) for two amazing designers. You can read more about that on the \u201cCreative Teams<\/strong><\/a>\u201d page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
