The Café is Back!

The Café is Back!

So, it’s been a minute since I last posted anything on the old Café website. If you’re already acquainted with the Café then you know I had to close my brick & mortar location back in 2016. There’s more detail about that on the “About Me” page. I had all these plans to continue the Café in some capacity, albeit virtually rather than physically. But life happened. In 2017, the company for which I’d worked for more than 25 years was spiraling down the drain and I was also dealing with the physical ramifications of Rheumatoid Arthritis. And we won’t even go into COVID. Needless to say, the last 6+ years have not gone to plan. I’m now retired (albeit earlier than planned) and a “professional” grandma to 4 lovely grandchildren who are the absolute light of my life. And, I’m back, ready to go and excited to get this new version of the Café going.

First A Thank You!

Over the years I’ve found a few designers that I consider a “go to” resource for digital supplies. One of those is Bryony from Heartstrings Scrap Art (HSA). I wanted to take this opportunity to thank her for allowing me to use some of her products (specifically from her Nature Journal Collection) while creating the header for the Café Blog. I found her at the Digital Scrapbooking Studio (currently my favorite shop). But her products are also available at Pickleberrypop.

What’s New?

I have grown to love working on scrapbook “challenges” offered at some of the shops I frequent. I have learned a lot by doing this and I get to see so many other people’s works. My favorite challenges are those from The Digital Scrapbooking Studio. I would encourage you to participate in challenges…even if you’re a beginner. They typically are a great way to learn new things. Along with that I currently am a member of the Creative Team (CT) for two amazing designers. You can read more about that on the “Creative Teams” page.

Stay Tuned

Custom services are still my specialty. Whether you need a one-of-a-kind piece of paper for your scrapbook, a party invitation, a special graphic or maybe you just want someone to help you with a layout. I want to continue providing custom solutions for people when asked.

I do love helping people achieve their vision of a project. So, if you find something on Etsy (or wherever) and it’s not fully customizable, please drop me a line via the “Message Me” page and I will work with you to see if we can come up with a better solution. If you’ve already read “my story” than you know I don’t easily back down from a challenge.

Please also just keep an eye on the blog to see what else I may have in store for you. If you click on the “Follow Me” button you can sign up for updates and receive a free page template.

How Can I Help?

If you remember the old Café, you may be aware that I used to frequently post scrapbooking tips. My goal is to start doing that again. So, I’d like to ask that you please also let me know of any scrapbooking things (traditional or digital) about which you’d like to learn more. Just use the “Message Me” page to drop me a line.
